Stanford-Area Weed Delivery Guide: What Students, Faculty & Locals Should Know
Delivery to Stanford, Palo Alto, and Menlo Park — what's actually allowed on and around campus, and how to order without breaking rules.
Living, working, or visiting around Stanford? Cannabis is legal in California for adults 21+, but there are specific rules about what you can do on campus vs. off, and where delivery can actually drop off. Here's the full picture.
On-campus rules
Stanford University is a federally-funded institution, and federal law still classifies cannabis as a Schedule I substance. That means cannabis use, possession, and delivery to on-campus addresses (dorms, faculty housing, academic buildings) violates university policy regardless of California law. Don't have it delivered to a dorm.
Off-campus, walking distance
Apartments and houses in Downtown Palo Alto, College Terrace, Menlo Park, and along El Camino Real are all fair game for delivery. These are the most popular drop-off areas for the student and post-grad population.
ETA from a delivery service
Most of these neighborhoods are within ~15 minutes of our drivers. Downtown Palo Alto, University Ave, California Ave, and the Menlo Park border all see ~12 minute delivery windows.
What to order
Pre-rolls are the most popular order in the area — no equipment needed, easy to share, easy to dispose of. Vapes are next (discreet, no smell). Edibles are popular for people who want to skip smoking altogether. Browse the full menu to see what's available today.
ID at the door
California law requires ID verification at handoff. The driver will check your ID against the name on the order — bring it out when they arrive. Anyone 21+ is good to go.
How to order
No account required at Platinum Canna — order as a guest, pay the driver in cash, Zelle, or Venmo. The Stanford area, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Mountain View are all covered with free delivery.
