Cannabis Delivery FAQ

Straight answers about licensed cannabis delivery in Palo Alto, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, and the rest of Silicon Valley.

Is cannabis delivery legal in Palo Alto?

Yes. While Palo Alto does not license storefront retailers, delivery from state-licensed retailers based outside the city is fully legal under California state law. Cities cannot block deliveries that originate outside their limits.

Do I need an account to order cannabis delivery?

No. Platinum Canna does not require an account. Order as a guest, show your ID at the door, and pay the driver.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cash, Zelle, and Venmo, paid to the driver on arrival. Credit cards are not accepted — this is standard for licensed cannabis retailers due to federal banking restrictions.

How fast is your cannabis delivery?

Most orders arrive in 12 to 15 minutes within our core service area of Palo Alto, Mountain View, and Sunnyvale. Outer areas like Los Gatos and East San Jose can take up to 25 minutes.

Is there a delivery fee?

No. Delivery is free across all of our service areas, with no minimum order in most cities.

Do you deliver cannabis to Stanford University?

We do not deliver to on-campus addresses (dorms, faculty housing, academic buildings). Stanford is a federally-funded institution and federal law still classifies cannabis as Schedule I. We do deliver to off-campus addresses throughout Palo Alto and Menlo Park.

What ID do I need for cannabis delivery?

A valid government-issued photo ID showing you are 21 or older — a driver's license, passport, or state ID. The driver verifies it matches the name on the order before handoff.

Are your cannabis products lab-tested?

Yes. Every product sold is lab-tested for potency, pesticides, and contaminants per California Department of Cannabis Control regulations, and tracked through METRC from cultivator to delivery.

What is the difference between Platinum Canna and Eaze or Weedmaps?

Eaze and Weedmaps are marketplaces that route your order to whichever delivery service has stock that day, so quality and selection vary. Platinum Canna is a direct licensed retailer — every order is fulfilled from our own curated menu by our own drivers.

What is your California cannabis license number?

Platinum Canna operates under California DCC license C9-0000793-LIC. License status can be verified at search.cannabis.ca.gov.

What cities do you deliver cannabis to?

We deliver to Palo Alto, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Los Altos, Los Gatos, San Jose, Menlo Park, and surrounding Silicon Valley cities. See our service areas page for the full list.

What are your delivery hours?

We deliver every day from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM Pacific Time.

How much cannabis can I legally buy in one day?

California law allows adults 21 and over to purchase up to 28.5 grams of flower or 8 grams of concentrate (or the edible equivalent) per day from a licensed retailer.

Is there a cannabis dispensary in Palo Alto?

No. The City of Palo Alto has not licensed any storefront cannabis retailers. Residents purchase either by driving to neighboring cities like San Jose or Mountain View, or by using a licensed delivery service such as Platinum Canna.
